Temasek Design School started in 1990, subsumed from the former Baharuddin Vocational Institute. We started with three diploma courses. We have now grown to eight full-time courses offering the gamut of design disciplines - from apparel design and merchandising to interior architecture to interactive media design.

Through the years, we have prided ourselves on producing design professionals with strong technical skills and a wide and flexible design vision. We believe particularly, in working hand in hand with industry, keeping our staff up-to-date in the latest trends and industry practices and remaining global in our focus. We do this through a network of national and international links with industry, with key design institutions, through 'live' industry projects, exchange programmes, competitions and internship programmes.

Whether you are a student thinking about your choices in design education, a design firm keen to partner us in our various industry-linked programmes or from a design academic body wishing to initiate some links, we welcome you and hope these pages will give you some insight into the Temasek Design School and what makes us tick as one.
