Prof Don Ryun Chang, ICOGRADA President Elect, Chair Visual Communication from Hongik University Seoul, Korea visited Temasek Design School on 24 November 2006. During his presentation, Prof Don emphasized that Design as a strategic communicative tool, if used wisely, could achieve maximum impact in reaching society effectively. In order for Design to remain a sustainable culture and for Designers to craft designs relevant to the needs of society, he said that Designers should constantly be kept informed and updated with the changing social phenomenon. He is currently working on a collaborative Design Management project with Monash University of Australia. This collaborative project allows Monash students to work in teams to brainstorm and integrate strategic processes to make use of their creative talents to communicate new or affirmative ideas to the public.
