TDS Staff Judges Regional Interior Design Award
On 20 September 2006 Rosli Melan from of Interior & Architecture Design course proudly flew the flag for Singapore by being appointed the lead judge for 2 main categories of this prestigious industry award. Rosli helped to establish judging processes for the MSID Awards 2006 with the panel of fellow judges which included Mr. Muhammad Amin Interior Designer/Academician (Malaysia), M/s Cecilia Wong Kun Yin Architect/CeCA architect perunding (Malaysia) and M/s Assoc. Prof Hilmiah Ismail, Facilitator/MSID.
The MSID Award was the highlight in the Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (ASPDA) General Assembly and Congress to be held from 22nd November to 25th November in Kuala Lumpur.
ASPDA is the association that represents the 13 members of the Interior Designers Association drawn from 12 countries in Asia Pacific. It has been at the forefront of promoting the design profession and improving design standards throughout the region since it inception in 1987.
This year’s Biennial Congress was hosted by the Malaysia Society of Interior Designers (MSID) in Kuala Lumpur.
Rosli’s appointment is in recognition of his position as a respected member of academic staff in Temasek Design School and his past involvement in judging similar ID Awards.
