TPrawks 2008 – Realising Possibilities at Temasek Design School
Students visiting Temasek Design School will undertake Collaborative Learning to provoke exploration and cross disciplinary solutions responding to an Art & Design brief that asks them to respond to the environment of the Design School. Using simple Observation recording techniques participants will be exposed to different hotspots in TDS which include the Centres of Excellence and key work areas.
Collaboration is a cornerstone of all design work so participants will work in teams led by Design Student Ambassadors. To simulate real life of designers participants will work together to make connections from the observations they make as they visit the different locations. The next step will be to undertake design ideation and find synergies to drive new ideas and concepts. Using the medium of paint and board, participants will create a 2 dimensional representation of interest. They will then come together to set up their creations at the DES Atrium to take digital pictures using their phone cameras. They will be asked to send in their images to the TPrawks Friendster website site for uploading.
At the end participants will have experienced Observation, recording and presentation as well as key Design skills of Ideation and conceptualization. Most importantly they will have fun doing it...See what they did last year!
