“Tumble, Dry & Spin” – a 2-day retail event organized by Apparel Design and Merchandising (ADM) students was held on 8 and 10 August 2007. The project aimed to introduce students to the purchasing management process and to give them an insight into the operations and practices used by retailers to achieve their retail objectives.
The class of 13 students undertook different roles and used effective visuals, innovative merchandise presentation, store ambience, consignment goods, sales and customer service, to showcase their creative approach to entrepreneurship.
The outcome was a new and vibrant interpretation of the retail experience.
