Two Visual Communication Junior students, Adeline Yeo and Sharon Lim took part in a three-day workshop at the School of Arts, Design and Media at Nanyang Technological University. At the end of the workshop, Adeline Yeo was voted as one of the best participants out of two short listed and walked away with a Nikon DSLR worth $2000!
Circadian2007 is a photo-outreach programme that encourages youths to take part in the Singapore Arts Festival through the medium of photography. The challenge was to capture Life in Singapore though photography. Adeline Yeo’s interpretation of this theme bagged her a prestigious workshop experience. She was one of 10 entrants chosen from about 100 entries received to be part of a photography workshop.
This year, participants were required to submit works that shows life in Singapore. About 100 entries were received and 10 entrants were chosen to be part of a bonus photography workshop which involved the guidance from local professional photographers and included photography-major students from NTU. True a rare experience for these young designers.
The works will be on display at Raffles City Shopping Center from 10 September to 31 October 2007.
